SUMMARY:Sangha (Group) Shamatha Meditation & 100-Syllable Mantra
DESCRIPTION:Shamatha Meditation and 100-Syllable Mantra of Vajrasattva Recitation Practice. \nSunday Sangha (Group) Practices occur on the Sundays that Rinpoche is not teaching. We begin at 10:00 AM CST and chant prayers and meditate together. The majority of this session is focused on mind-calming silent meditation (shamatha meditation). This is done online via Zoom. \nOnline Only via Zoom\nZoom Login credentials are the same for all Triratna Meditation Center (TMC) online meetings:\nhttps://zoom.us/j/4806976867?pwd=VzNKJdVXvjzElFkYbcGmkRFUymqbSV.1\nOr: Zoom ID: 480 697 6867\, passcode: tmc4u phone dial-in numeric passcode: 251866 \n  \n“Vajrasattva practice is particularly important\, because in the vajrayana\, we undertake samayas (commitments) that are not only numerous but very difficult to keep. The practice of Vajrasattva is a very effective way of restoring impaired samaya and reinforcing unimpaired samaya. It is also very important for the purification of wrongdoing in general\, but especially violations of vows or commitments\, and in particular impairments or violations of vajrayana samaya.” \nHis Holiness\, the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa\, on the occasion of the Vajrasattva Empowerment that He gave at Riverside Church\, New York\, NY — May 31\, 2018 – translator\, Lama Yeshe Gyamtso. \nhttps://kagyuoffice.org/purification-and-protection-the-karmapa-bestows-a-vajrasattva-empowerment/ \nA video of the whole event is available at: \nhttps://www.youtube.com/live/2D-8RQJxPew?si=Be2bUOzfIQXRu91H \n(NOTE: the translation of the above passage starts at 54m:33s)

SUMMARY:Dharani - Liberation Nirvana Sutra Mantra Push
DESCRIPTION:This is a half-day Retreat (with a break from 10:15 to 11:00 am). We are so close to achieving our collective goal of 108\,000 recitations of the Liberation Nirvana Sutra Mantra. Let’s please come together this Saturday on Zoom and dedicate time to the recitation of the mantra as a Losar offering for Lama Rinpoche.  \nWe will begin with Opening Prayers after which the Umdze will begin chanting the mantra. We will be rotating Umdzes and each retreat participant can chant at their own pace. Please keep track of the number of mantras you do and report these in the chat. If you cannot attend the entire time\, you are still welcome to come. Ashwini tells us that we are well over the 80\,000 mark so the more of us who participate in this event\, the greater the likelihood that we will succeed!: \nOnline Only via Zoom\nZoom Login credentials are the same for all Triratna Meditation Center (TMC) online meetings:\nhttps://zoom.us/j/4806976867?pwd=VzNKJdVXvjzElFkYbcGmkRFUymqbSV.1\nOr: Zoom ID: 480 697 6867\, passcode: tmc4u (phone dial-in numeric passcode: 251866)

SUMMARY:Full Moon White Tara Longevity Practice
DESCRIPTION:We offer The Daily Practice Of White Tara by the Omniscient Tai Situ Tenpe Nyinje practice to deepen our connection to the White Tara. \nPlease note:  Refuge is a prerequisite & this sadhana should be practiced only by people who have received the appropriate empowerment\, transmission\, and instruction from a qualified guru. \nThe Full Moon White Tara Long Life Practice is conducted during the full moon to invoke blessings for health and longevity. This ritual is believed to enhance vitality and remove obstacles to a long life. \nEvery Sunday evening until our next retreat with Rinpoche we will be practicing the White Tara Sadhana. We will also continue to practice this Sadhana on designated Full Moon White Tara Longevity Practice Days. \n\nTMC is taking this approach that allows members to focus on the latest practice for which Rinpoche has given us a lung(oral transmission) — it works toward completing practice commitments\, learning technical aspects of the practice more thoroughly\, and providing an opportunity to connect in a shared learning space with our TMC dharma brothers and sisters.\n\nOur website’s Resource section is currently under construction. In the meantime\, please refer to the newsletter for all the texts required for our monthly Full Moon Long Life Practice. \nOnline Only via Zoom\nZoom Login credentials are the same for all Triratna Meditation Center (TMC) online meetings:\nhttps://zoom.us/j/4806976867?pwd=VzNKJdVXvjzElFkYbcGmkRFUymqbSV.1\nOr: Zoom ID: 480 697 6867\, passcode: tmc4u (phone dial-in numeric passcode: 251866)
